CAMP ARUGA
Camp Aruga, inspired by the Filipino word "Aruga" which means Care, is the premier leadership bootcamp of the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA). It was created as a unique and one-of-a-kind experience where leadership is not only about skills, but about leading with heart, compassion, and purpose.

Our Goals
Camp Aruga is guided by four core goals:
-
Increase unity among chapter members and with other chapters.
-
Amplify skills in chapter governance to strengthen organizational leadership.
-
Maximize engagement, resiliency, and emotional intelligence in both professional and personal life.
-
Pursue action plans aligned with the Future of Nursing 2020-2030 to promote health equity through diversity, equity, inclusivity, belongingness, and social justice.
Our Journey So Far
Since its start in 2022, Camp Aruga has successfully held regional sessions across the country, bringing together delegates from the Eastern, Western, North Central, and South Central regions. These gatherings have empowered current and future leaders, fostered collaboration across chapters, and inspired projects that strengthen both the nursing profession and the communities we serve.
